Faith and clinical care
How is faith included in treatment?
Your clinical plan still includes CBT, DBT, group and individual therapy at the level of care you need. The Christian track is something you can add to that plan.
The clinical plan
Therapy and the right level of care come first in every plan. Prayer does not replace detox, therapy sessions or psychiatric care when you need them.
The faith track
If faith is part of how you want to recover, you can join the Christian track alongside treatment. If it is not, you can skip the track and your clinical plan stays the same.
You do not have to be certain about your faith to call. The track is optional, and admissions can explain what taking part involves.

When to consider it
When people ask about the Christian track
The track is for people who want faith to be part of treatment. It is not a test of belief, and you are not required to join.
- You want treatment, and you also want faith to be part of your week.
- You have tried to handle substance use through church alone.
- A mental health condition needs clinical care alongside your faith.
- You are willing to attend clinical sessions, not only the faith-based parts.
- You want to be able to leave the track without leaving treatment.
The clinical program is enough if
- Faith is not something you want in treatment.
- You only want therapy and a level of care.
- You are not sure yet and would rather decide later.
If there is immediate danger, call 988 or go to the nearest emergency room first.
Still clinical
What the clinical plan can treat
The faith track does not have its own list of conditions. These are the conditions and therapies your clinical plan can include.
What happens when you call
Four steps, and you decide at each one whether to keep going.
You call, or send the form
You tell admissions what is happening and whether you think the Christian track might fit.
We check your benefits
With your permission we contact your insurer and find out what your plan covers.
You hear what it means
Admissions explains the deductible, the copay and which level your plan supports, in plain terms.
You decide
If you want to go ahead, admissions walks you through what happens next.
Benefits vary from plan to plan, and a verification is not a guarantee of coverage.

Does insurance cover Christian rehab?
What you pay depends on your deductible, your copay and the level your insurer approves. Admissions checks your benefits with the insurer and tells you the figures before you decide anything.
Plans change, so admissions confirms coverage with your insurer before anything else happens.

Common questions about the Christian track
If your question is not answered here, call admissions at (714) 862-1907.
Should a Christian go to rehab?
If substance use or a mental health condition is affecting your daily life, clinical treatment can help. Your faith can be part of the plan, but it does not have to be the whole plan.
Does the faith track replace therapy?
No. CBT, DBT, group and individual sessions stay in your plan. The Christian track is added for people who want it and does not replace any of those sessions.
Is the track optional?
Yes. You can be in treatment without joining the track, or you can ask about it later. Leaving the track does not mean leaving treatment.
What if I am not very religious?
Then you can skip the track. Admissions will still talk with you about the level of care and the therapies, because faith is not a requirement for admission.
Can it include a mental health condition?
Yes. Dual diagnosis treatment is for people who have both a substance use problem and a mental health condition. Joining the faith track does not change that care.
Is coverage different from other treatment?
No. Admissions verifies the same insurance benefits for the same levels of care, whether or not you join the track.
Ask admissions about the Christian track
