Having an overall healthy body can increase your abilities to cope with the stress of traumatic experiences. Allow yourself to get plenty of sleep, avoid drugs and alcohol, and eat a well-balanced diet.
Reduce stress on the body by trying meditation, yoga, deep breathing, or other relaxation techniques. Set aside some time for the activities that bring you joy, such as your favorite hobbies.
