What is teen drug rehab?
Teen drug rehab is treatment for a teenager's substance use, and parents take part in it. One sign does not prove your teen is using, but a pattern that hurts school, health or safety is a reason to get an assessment.
What you might see
You might notice new friends, missing money, changes in sleep, or drug paraphernalia, and any one of those can have another explanation. If you see several together, ask your teen directly and get an assessment.
What Enhance offers
Enhance offers outpatient and virtual care for teens, with family sessions. If your teen needs more than that, admissions will tell you and talk through the next step.

There is no set length of treatment for teens, because it depends on your teen's plan and progress.
When to call
Signs your teen may need an assessment
Any of these signs can mean your teen needs an assessment, even though none of them on its own proves substance use.
- School: absences, a sudden drop in grades, or calls from school you did not expect.
- Body: red eyes, a change in weight, or sleeping all day and staying up all night.
- Friends: a new group of friends, and silence about where they have been.
- Mood: anger, low mood or anxiety that started along with the other changes.
- Home: alcohol, pills or money missing from the house.
Get urgent help if
- Your teen is unconscious or cannot be woken. Call 911.
- Your teen may harm themselves. Call 988.
- You think your teen has overdosed. Call 911.
If there is immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988.
