How admissions works

What to expect from admissions

Here’s how admissions works, from your first call to the start of treatment.

  1. You reach admissions

Call or text our admissions line, email us, or send the form, and tell us as much or as little as you want.

  2. We check your benefits

With your permission, we contact your insurance company to find out what your plan covers for treatment.

  3. We explain what it means

Admissions explains your deductible, your copay, and which levels of care your plan covers, and whether our programs fit what you need.

  4. You decide

If you want to go ahead, admissions walks you through the next steps and answers anything you still want to ask.

If there is immediate danger, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room. For a mental health crisis, call or text 988.

Questions people ask admissions

If your question is not answered here, call admissions at (714) 862-1907.

  • Can I call about a family member?

Yes, you can call about a loved one. Have their insurance card nearby, and admissions can check their benefits and explain their options.

  • Does a benefits check mean my insurance will pay?

No. A benefits check tells you what your plan says it covers, and the final decision about payment stays with your insurance company.

  • What should I have ready when I call?

Have your insurance card with the member ID and the name printed on it. It also helps to know whether you are looking for addiction treatment, mental health care or both.

  • Is the benefits check free?

Yes. Admissions checks your benefits for free, and there is no obligation to start treatment afterward.

  • What if my plan is out of network?

An out-of-network plan may pay less or nothing, and you can be billed for the difference. Admissions asks your plan what it pays and tells you before you decide.

  • Do I need a referral from my doctor?

Most people do not, but some HMO plans require one. Admissions will tell you whether your plan asks for a referral before treatment starts.

  • What if Enhance is not the right fit?

Admissions will tell you, and they can help you find another program that fits your plan or your needs better.

  • Which levels of care do you offer?

We offer detox, residential treatment, partial hospitalization (PHP), intensive outpatient (IOP), outpatient therapy and virtual care. Admissions helps you decide where to start.

  • Do you treat mental health and substance use together?

Yes. Our dual diagnosis programs treat mental health conditions and substance use at the same time, with one treatment team.

  • Can I do treatment online?

Yes. Individual, group and family sessions are available online, so you can take part from home when that suits you better.

  • Is what I tell admissions kept private?

Yes. What you tell admissions is kept confidential, and you can share as much or as little as you are comfortable with.

  • Where is Enhance Health Group?

Our main office is at 14742 Newport Ave, Suite 208 in Tustin, about ten minutes from John Wayne Airport. Admissions can help you find the right program, wherever you live.
